My Oil cooler

The return line finally went. I orderd new lines From racingbeat. How do u get the oil cooler lines off the oil cooler. I tried the bolt at the top but it won't turn and i dont wanna try to hard cause the whole oil cooer freakin moves. :madgo: Oh and does anyone have the oil baffler from RB and if so did u get a bigger oil pan??? ???

The oil return lines are a real pain to get off, and to be honest, if you have already ordered new ones, just cut them off. That's what I did! It'll be hard to get them off the correct way. If anybody has some better suggestions, just let 'em rip

I've heard from people that putting it in a vise between some wood works. I had to remove mine to get the bolts off. I didn't have a vise but did use a makeshift one made out of wood. The end bolts were on their TIGHT!

Ok I cut the dam lines and the oil cooler is out. Now im stuck with the dam lines goin into the block in the front and back. :dontgetit: Im plannig on cuttin them as close as posible to the block and gettin a socket on there. Of corse i gotta wiat cause its just to dam cold out to work outside around here. :madgo:

damn super dead thread!!! you can also use a combination wrench with another one hooked up to it for more torque to snap it free thats how it got mine off but i also dont have anything on that side of the engine lol.

I can't believe people buy oil cooler lines from racing beat.
You need hoses? Open the phonebook or open the internets and look up "hydraulic parts and hoses". With the amount of industry around today, you should be able to find one within a short drive distance.
Take them the old hoses. I guarantee they will fab you new hoses on the spot using AN fittings, and sell you adapters to fit on the front cover/block and oil cooler to eliminate the annoying thru-bolt oil cooler fittings. You new stuff will be rated at 3000 PSI, require less torque for a more superior seal, and cost you 1/4 of what you thought. The parts fit, they're strong, abundant, and cheap.
Hydraulic shops deal with alot of cranes, alot of cranes in North America are European, and European cranes use wackier metric fittings 100 times over than any RX7.
