I was driving the to my friends house like 10 mins ago and about halfway therei hear a beep comming from my dash. I was like wtf is that so i get out and check all my fluids and stuff and they were good except for the brake fluid. I think that is probly it but i wanna check with the experts and see if it is nothin major or not. Its a short beeping sound that comes on every second, it kinda sounds like an alarm clock and none of the warning lights come on. I hope its nothin major i dont really have the money right now to do some expensive repairs.

Sounds like the power steering cpu beeping if you have power steering.

A few things, you can make it go away if you are driving, you can quickly turn off and on the ignition switch and it should go away.

Sometimes it means the power steering switch is bad or the belt is slipping or is not getting the correct speed of the sensor in the instrument panel, is the speedo working correctly. What year is the car?

This is only if you have the speed sensitive power assist steering, not the rpm one like the gtus has.

When you hear it again, pull over and unplug the power steering cpu to double check. make sure theire is anought fluid and the belt has the right amount of tension first. THe cpu is underneat the dash, underneath the steering column, don't have to take anythign apart.

If you need a PS CPU, let me know and I'll try to find mine.
