I bought a motor off of corksport.com(JDM TII). the car runs but has a rough idle, and smokes once it gets to normal running temp. I took it for a ride and it took forever to get up to speed. The oil pressure guage buries itself past the 110psi level even if the key is just turned to the on position. I did put bigger secondaries in. can anybody help me? Nobody, not even the Mazda dealership will work on it where I live. Do i have to change the ecu to the japan ecu? The car is a 88TII. please help. I want my baby to run again.

 

where should i start........ DO A COMPRESSION TEST!!!!! about half of the jspecs we get are BLOWN!!!!! i found that out the hard way........... if nothing else take out your spark plugs and crank.... make sure you hear loud even "WHOOSHES" those whooshes are compression..... lack of power sometimes means lack of compression. don't want to get you scared but i got two broken jspecs.....
