I'm looking for a new rear end and I need a new LSD and ring and pingion. I'm wondering if there is a difference between the LSD in a sport, gxl, or gtu. Does it change from s4 to s5. I know the gtus is the best one, but i'm not finding a good one for sale. I know the t2 lsd won't work. I'm just trying to find an equal or better lsd than my sport model has. I'll get the appropriate ring and pingion once i find a lsd. Thanks for the help.

 

all the n/a lsd's are the same. from s4-s5 there are the clutch type S4 and the viscous Type S5. but in s5 the only lsd is in the T2,.

clutch type is better, but the prob with them is the fact that the are 18years old!! so they wear out, because clutches are wear items.







the following s4's in Canada have lsd, the GXL, TII. the us has other models such as the sport and gtu, i'm unaware if these infact have lsd.

i've just found a ring and pingion, now all i need to do is find a cheap miata torsen LSD, then i'm set.
