Low Compression Again.

So I finally wired in the 10ohm resistor into the injector power wire because of the wrong impedance cleaned injectors I put it in. Pulled plugs, cranked, cleared the chambers of fuel. Turned the fuel pump switch off, and turned on the starter/charger. Cranked, cranked, flipped switch, nothing. Won't start, tries hard but just won't. I'm puzzled at the moment, it has a mazdatrix fuel bleeder, cleaned/bench leak tested injectors, it should not be flooding. Swapped ecus, still no go. Tested for spark, and saw smoke coming out the tail pipes. So I decided to pull out the compression tester. 100-100-100 front. 75-35-75 Rear. Rear rotor exhaust port was white when I got the motor, I did verify all apex seals were in place. Seems taht the rear rotor apex seals are a little weak and a side seal/corner seal is shot. BigT said he heard a weak chamber when we turned over the motor about a week ago or so.... I should have listened. But anyhow Its getting pulled tommorrow, cleaned this weekend. I just have to order the clearance tools, and I should have it back in within a couple weeks. I have a rebuild kit at home here. Large streetport will be in order too.

I think you should get it running before you pull it, it will run with those compression #'s... try some MMO, a seal could just be sticking in teh compressed state, side seals like to when they're carboned up.
unless you're looking forward to a 2nd project car, and would rather rebuild & port it, though if you port it you'll likely have to upgrade turbo side of things too. even the stock setup experiences boost creep without a ported wastegate with free exhaust, add a port to the mix and see what happens.

this kid has been working non-stop on this car for the last 2 weeks, he has checked coils, cas, injectors, ecu, ****** everything. the known history of the engine leads us to believe that it has been running lean for some time yet it started and ran fine before it was shipped here. the engine was sitting with mmo in it for about a month or less before we even got to start it. so if the engine has mmo in it, timing is dead on, everything has power, spark+fuel+air+flooding= probably a blown engine. but those numbers should be adequate enough to run....
