when i first got my 88 tII a yer or so back, all i had on it was a k&n cone filter and would still hit fuel cut when i got into it, now ive got no cats, and an apexi cat back and i dont ever get more than 6 psi of boost. it idles well, the compression is good , and it seems to get enough fuel .shouldnt i get more boost or is this normal?

or your turbo could be crapping out, the one on mine wasnt seeing any more than 6psi before it died. the very edges of the fins had been bent just a little from hitting the housing. you might check that

yeah i have an fcd , ithink it might just be a boost leak somewhere. if it is my turbo, should i just rebuild a stock turbo or just blow the wad on something new, expensive, big, and ball bearing?

if you got the cash buy a whole kit If not, get it rebuilt and hybrid with a t04 from BNR sports. Only 600 bucks. Cant beat that....

try disconnecting your wastegate, then go out for a boost run. Just make sure to watch your gauge and don't overdo it. That will tell you real fast if you truly have a boost problem.

Other things to check for are vaccum leaks around your intake.

which gasket? my turbo and manifold gasket arent that old & the manifold is new but the turbo could be the original. its gotta be leaking out somewhere because my airflow meter reading goes up(more than usual) but the car still hesitates bad .
