is this normal, i seem to be losing a little engine coolant about every 4 oil changes, i fill it to the full mark and then i notice its at the low mark, this normal on our engines? does it have anything to do with the cold start up assist? the weather has been about 0 degrees to about 30 degrees the past 2 months, thanks for the help, hope its not a coolant seal

it is kinda normal for an fc to need to have the coolant bottle topped off every 6-9 months or so.

The cold start assist comes from the bottle located in the rear left corner (looking from the front) of the engine compartment...

its disapearing, the cold assist tank is empty, i thought it might bypass that when it was empty and take it from the engine coolant recovery tank? no drips or anything?

hrm, well the subzero cold start assist is unrelated to the engine coolant..

I don't think you should be losing significant amounts of coolant, but it's possible you have some tiny leaks somewhere, maybe old radiator corroded a bit? My old radiator would let some steam out depending on the weather intermittently and make the add coolant buzzer kick on every few months but it never caused any real problem, just topped it off every now and then and it was fine.
