I assume that is the Temperature sending unit, or sumthing like that, it's leaking coolant from around it, my car has been running way hotter than it did a month ago too, but i attributed that to the nice weather, since i couldn't remember where it ran last summer......any help would be appreciated, I still haven't got my plugs switched...what size spark plug socket u need to get them things off..my 3/8 wasn't the right size...

Most imports use the metric system for bolt heads and the like remember. If you are really careful you can get away with a standard size socket. I'm unsure on what size it is though.

that sensor is for the level of the coolant in the radiato.

is it ok for it to leak? and any ideas why it's running hotter, besides it's hotter outside (mostly 70's and 80's)....thanks in advance..

uh when ws the last time you replaced the thermostat? you should flush the system out and replace the old anti-freez with new one. you should also check the condition of the oil cooling system. It handles a good chunk of the cooling i have heard of it handeling about 30% of the cooling.

Um, no.



The dealer, or Mazdatrix if you don't have a local dealer, should be able to look up the part number to the O-ring that seals the level sensor off. You could also see if maybe it just came a little loose. Don't overtighten it though. Chances are that seal has failed.



As for spark plugs, I use a 13/16.

Ace hardware has a good selection of o rings.
