Hi, Just some questions relating to the series 4 (Normally Aspirated) I just bought.

1. What octane fuel should I use for good performance?, I have the choice of 92 or 98 octane fuel.

2. My car has the electronic damper control on the shocks, is there a way to check to see if they still work, I think they do, but there is only a subtle difference between sports and normal.

3. Can the aerial on the car be adjusted up or down. (coz its always all the way up)

4. Are there any aftermarket brands that make those little black aero/protector bits that come on the car? like a carbon/kevlar composite? If not, should I get replacements from a mazda dealer, as mine are worn.

5. I also want to do a full exhaust on the car, what do you reccomend for headers, hi-flo's,, mufflers...etc?

Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated.

1.) The NA actually runs better on lower octane fuel, like 89. But if all you can get is 92 and 98(which I wish we had here), then use the 92. Turbo sevens run better w/ 93+ octane.

2.)To check your dampening...jack the car up and have somebody adjust the suspension while you look and listen to the shocks themselves. Listen for any odd clunking or things like that. You should also be able to notice a difference over speed bumps between the two settings. I'm not really big into the auto adjust suspension...so you may want to ask somebody w/ a GXL, lol.

3.)Aerial?

4.)I'm not sure if your referring to the part on the front bumber that protects the bottom from getting scratched, or the black bumpers that go all around the car?

5.)Your best bet for an exhaust that is great performance, but not all that showy is Racing beat headers, presilencer and catback...you'll notice a nice gain in this..but its not legal(no cat). If you want a showy exhaust, still use the racing beat headers and presilencer, but go w/ an APEXi N1 dual catback or something similar....VERY LOUD though. And of course, Mazdatrix sells a complete "true" dual exhaust that has dual output headers and it goes uncollected all the way back

Any other ?s...
