what's it for? how does it work? and who makes it? should i include it in my next paint job?

It comes stock on the lower part of the RX-7's body except the bumpers. I use 3M Rocker Panel Spray.

ah, the reason i ask is whenever we work on a car where the bodyshop decided to put that stuff back on, it looks like crap

There are all different brands on the market, all one would have to do is apply a coat of primer over the rocker panel to see if the texture matches, being as this was a full paint job, I just freshened it all up and didnt have to worry about it matching the rest of the car, A few areas needed it because there were some scratches in it, and the passenger fender was new and didnt have any on it.

no problem, and to think this car will be sold, oh well, only reason I painted it is because I can turn a better profit on the car, the car was in good enough shape that if I couldnt do it myself I wouldnt have bothered with a paint job just to sell it.
