I have been looking through a Factory service manual and spotted a system called the "deceleration system"

I have an 89 s5 vert. I was wondering if is another unnessary thing that mazda put there for the masses, or upon deleteing it i will melt my rear bumper with flamage?

or am i not being specific enough? lol
