I just go done changing all of my vac hoses to silicon. I also changed all of the gaskets and replaced the whole cooling system. The coolant is bypassed. When i turn the car on it would jump to 1.5k for 3-5 seconds then drop to 800. When I drive the car in neutral before i brake or turn the engine dies. Please HELP! I have the Haynes manual but it doesnt give me the info I need. The service manual helps but I only have the Turbo part of the book (N/A is missing =[) Im still a noob at this. Anyones help would be appreciated. Peace.

Thats the cold start kicking in when you first crank it.Adjust the throttle screw on the top of the throttle body.

You changed which gaskets? I'm guessing manifold was removed and those are the gaskets you replaced.

What exactly do you mean the coolant is bypassed? BAC valve eliminated.

How do you drive a car in neutral? Are you saying that car dies when you shift into neutral while coasting to a stop?

Are you running a/c or other accessories when this occurs?

Would the dashpot have anything to do with this?

Rotary's are so vac sensitive. Make sure your routed absolutely correct. There are a couple really good threads here to help with troubleshooting a vac leak. When the motor dies does your dummy light come on?
