Thumbs up

Ok, It's me again; I finished the 79, with the 86 engine, ecu, and stock fuel injection; but it was idleing at 1200 rpm, so i took it to the Rotary Doctor, and he said vacuum leak! So I replaced the LIM (with a fancy metal gasket) all the vacuum lines, and put it all back together just started it tonight and even with the idle adjustment all the way shut it still idles at about 950-1000 rpm, when it should die right? Does that mean i still have a vacuum leak, or is it something else possibly a bad solenoid or switch that the vacuum lines run into?

Thanks for any info

Try sparying some WD-40 by the vaccum lines. If it dies down or out then theres a leak at that line.

on an airflow meter car a vacuum leak will cause it to idle low. check the fast idle stuff, maybe its sticky

Yes TPS was set by the Rotary Doctor, now it does the low-high rev thing were it searches for an idle for about 20 minutes then it stops, also when you start it cold, it doesn't rev up to 2000-3000 rpm since i've put it back together, but the exhuast isn't glowing red hot anymore.

Please help, I'm getting tired of taking it apart and putting it back together just to have the same or another problem
