Idea for mounting aftermarket water temp sensor
#1
Ok, so the stock position is too small for my Sunpro water temp sensor. That is, the sensor will fit in and stop right at the end of where the threading should be.
So, I thought of a solution yesterday....at least maybe...
So my sensor has the threading part that can move freely up and down the cable. What I was thinking is that I could JB Weld the opposite part of the threading (what it would thread into) ONTO the thermostat housing. So, I guess it'd be a *female* threading end that had a flat end on the other side. Can anyone think of the name of what this would be called? I've got an extra thermostat housing that I could do this to so it wouldn't be too bad if I messed it up accidentally.
