Reliably? I would say stock HP, and even then, the original wiring on the fuel pump is often not up to snuff. With a fuel pump upgrade with rewire, I should think 250 HP would be reasonable.

Stock fuel system is good for between 230 to 270 hp. Boost with the top mount can be debated. I have logged decent temps with the stock turbo at 12 psi, but it starts to heat up. It wouldnt hurt to have a SAFC to aid the stock ECU just a bit.

well how much does an upgrade pump kit cost? I want at least 300 hp reliably, i am eventually going to upgrade the turbo, injectors and anything else that needs it, i just want to start with the fuel system, so i have adequate fuel supply. I will have a fmic installed also.

Walbros are around $100. Upgrade the secondary injectors to 720s. You will need a different engine and/or turbo. You wont be able to hit 300 with a stock turbo on a stock ported engine. You will be able to do it with a larger turbo and a stock port, but you will need to run alot of boost and a built engine.

Like RedT2 said, 250 is a good number for stock car.

300 is attainable on a stock turbo, thats MAXED, but you can do it, I plan to this uncomming summer. I dyno'd 240 on the stock fuel system, at 10-11psi, only "fuel mod" I have is the Rtek ECU.

I didnt say you cant do it on a stock turbo, I said stock turbo and stock ported engine. You might be able to do it on a stock ported engine. But, I havnt seen it yet.

I plan on making at least 300 when I go to the dyno in a few weeks, but I also have more mods than just fuel .

thanks for the info, im just trying to find the best set up to start with, i am doing a jspec TII swap in my 89 gtu, and want to find out what fuel pump to get, ill get the walbro one. ill also rewire wile im in the area. Im gonna start with a fmic because i have no TII hood and dont want one i want a sleeper. Im gonna run the stock turbo for a while until i can afford to completely rebuild the motor with new seals bearings and a street port. Than i will get a new turbo, wastegate, manifold, fuel controller, etc, etc.

With a set of cleaned stock 550s and a rewired walbro. I hit 100% duty cycle @ 11psi on a s4 turbo and intercooler. I wouldn't run more than 9 psi to play it safe depending on ambient temps/mods. That run of mine was done on an 85 deg day, with a restrictive catback, 2.5" dp, cold air intake with no afm( Haltech) and a fresh ported motor.
