How Does A Fpr Work?
#1
i have a s5 turbo with intake,rb turbo back,safc,cosmo pump
i know a fpr regulates the amount of fuel that goes through fuel rail.so lets say at idle fuel pressure should be about 40psi.what happens when more gas and boost is given, does the fuel pressure goes up?or does it stay at 40 psi?how does the pressure rise?im somewhat familiar with the sx fpr.
can someone also explain the rrfpr?
thanks

well basically its got a diaphram and one side is open to the air and the other side see's manifold pressure.
and the diaphram basically controls the size of the return line, so when theres boost on one side of the diaphram it moves over and closes the return line and raises the pressure, simple
