ok ok my friend wants to make his own intercooler. Well first off he just bought an 86 tii with a rebuilt street port going on haltech **** all over the place. Bottom line is hes got power. He wants to boost about 20psi but has no money for a new intercooler sooo hes going to build one him self the only prob is the piping. he said something about maken his own piping out of i guess aluminum pipes and welding them and maken them air tight. He would have to get the intercooler first but could this be done? safely? and also he said something about a truck intercooler and gave me a link intercooler

im thinken that wouldnt fit under the hood of an fc??? any tips on a good cheap intercooler setup...anything plz this is starting to sound like some monster garage ish

um its not that hard if you look at it

first you will realize that "nice core" is the radiator...then there was no welding pipes, theyre all connected by silicone couplers

The isuzu box truck intercoolers are pretty nice. Four bolts, cut the hoses, and its yours. Oh yea the engine is under the cab, you gotta tilt the cab forward.

happy looting!

yah i need a better pic you cant see the ic at all. its just mocked up right now, it will eventually be welded up, although not every joint, its gotta be able to come out

its just straight 2.5" steel pipe, and a couple of cut up ubends, its gonna take 3 ubends to do the whole schpeil
