I just rebuilt the motor that blew in my car and now I am having a couple of problems with it. I can't get it to start. I have spark, fuel, and some compression. I measured the compression and it was 60 psi, on all three faces of the front and rear rotors. It seems that I can't get it started, and I was wondering if any of you guys had any tips on getting a new motor to start.

Thanks

David

Yeah it cracks just fine, it tunes over at or above as it did while it was running before.

pull EGI fuse. crank a few times. then reinstall. try the deflooding procedure and see if that works....

Is it spinning quickly enough? 60 PSI is pretty low.

Yeah, I think it is. It is spinning just as fast or faster then it did before it blew up. That is 60 psi with the TB closed now that I think about it. But should that matter that much?

Felix

I am using all new rotor housings and all of the seals are new.

Thanks for all your help.

I would do the soaked plug trick.

Pull the lower plugs all the way off the boot. The Spark will jump the gap in the boot and fire the fuel soaked plug. I had to do that to mine to get it fire up the first time.

You have to pull the boots way off. I did it with a friend cranking the engine.

Can always do the tried and true drag it behind another car start.
