well today i got rid of all the unneeded **** basically brought it down to the block and turbo. tomorrow i will be disconnecting the motor mounts, trans crossmember, all trans wiring, and will be disconnecting the down pipe from the turbo. also i will probly disconnect all a/c, and power streering lines seeing that they will not be needed any more. if any one has any helpful advice it will be greatly appreciated. i cant wait to finish cleaning up the engine bay alot of degreaser will be needed. will post pics of progress later tonight or tomm. BTW does any one know where i can get a new or good conditioned engine wiring harness the owner of the car before me used medical tape around the thing and made awful connections added up with 20 years of grease the things not even worth trying to revive.

Sounds like you're doing pretty well all by yourself. Puttin' it back in is a little more difficult, but putting the tranny/engine combo in at once solves the alignment issue.

Your best bet for a wiring harness is to find a good used one. They come up on ebay all the time. Be prepared to pay about a hundred.

Cheers

Did you have someone drain the freon or did you do that yourself and if so, how?
