I have a quick question...

I have been driving a 1st gen that had 197K miles which my dad had. It has 'given up the ghost'.

I just bought an '89 2nd generation. The interior is immaculate and the engine is clean and appears to run well. My question: it has 153K on the clock. How many more miles do you think it has left if it is maintained and not 'abused'?

Thanks!

Nick

IN MY OPINION THATS VERY UPREDICTABLE IT MAY RUN 100K MORE OR 10K  KEEP AN EYE ON THE OIL LEVEL AND PRESSURE I BELIEVE IT BURNS UP 1 QT EVERY 1500 MILES OR SO BUT I HOPE IT LASTS YOU A VERY LONG TIME. IM GONNA START MIXING 2 STROKE OIL W/ MY GAS TO ENSURE MY PRECIOUS ROTORS ARE GETTING ADEQUATE OIL TO THE SEALS.

GOOD LUCK :yinyang:

It all dependes on how well it was taken care of, and how well you take care of it. Is it a turbo or NA? It is not uncomon to see the NAs get over 200k on the original engines.
