Over the past 2 year's or so i have been useing the Factory Mazda oil filter when i do my oil changes.

From what i've heard it's one of the best. I mean hell. it cost around 6$

Is this a false statement? Is it really a good filter or am i just waisting my money when i could be buying something like a K&N Oil Filter or even a purolator filter.

Thanks for the help.

P.S My Mechanic at Mazsport Inc. told me it's one of the best. He also swears on useing Castrol 20w 50 as an oil. Unless running like highly modified 500 HP engines. than he uses Synth. Besides the point. Is he wrong on the oil filter?

best oil filter in my opinion is the K&N oil filter, too bad the thing is like 20 bucks each.

for that price i can get 3 mazda filters.

Mazda filters are very good, i use mazda filters, i change my oil every 2000 miles or less so i can't afford the K&N.

Castrol 20W50 is also very good, if you have a TII.

If you have a NA i would stick with 10W30, it also depends on what the climate is like.

However the best oil that money can buy is redline motor oil, again $$$$$$.

the japanese mazda filters are the best, i have one cut open and they cram twice as much stuff in there, as a regular filter. the japanese filters are available thru ralphh@dgdg.com . mazda usa makes thier own, and they are not as good

i use a K&N oil filter. In my job it costs $12.99 but the way i see it is. Buy one steal one , two , three for free. I have like 3 K&N oil filters and i only use Castrol GTX 20W-50 High Mileage anything esle would be uncivilized lol
