I've got the Mazdatrix dual exhaust, and it is loud as all hell, so I know the feeling. I've been pulled over and ticketed twice for it. :frown: Do you have any kind of pre-silencer on there? Racing Beat sells pre-silencers, they are kind of pricey though... $198.00. You could get at least one of those (if not two) and that should quiet your exhaust down a lot.

I've got a Racing Beat Header, then a PreSilencer, Then a WALKER SUPER TURBO (recommended by Pineapple Racing, well see if it lasts). All 2-1/2" inch. It was WAY too LOUD! I was starting to feel sorry for my neighbors. I then installed a 2nd CHEAP-O ($20) rear TURBO Muffler (2-1/2") and that did the trick. It's still a little loud at WOT, but sounds much better at idle and mid-throttle.
I would think you just need one more presilencer or muffler on your car. The PreSilencer is more $$$ but it will last. The mufflers will probably be burnt up in less than a year.
Most manufactures use fiberglass packing and don't make them to handle the HOT exhaust from a Mazda. This is why the selection of TRUE Rotary exhaust systems is limited and more expensive. They use Stainless baffling and THICKER metal all around.
