Is it physically possible to remove the exhaust manifold without removing the engine? Thinking about replacing the gasket there, and wanna know how much work its going to take.

thanks

You'll have to remove the heat shield to get to the 2 bottom nuts. Removing both the air control valve and intake tube will give you alot more room to work with.

Thanks guys, that helps alot.

The reason I'm asking is because I think that there may be a problem with my manifold, either that or the gasket there is gone.

I re-installed the exhaust the other night, and for some reason it barely idles now. Its all straight through, too, thats whats confusing. It idles strong @ 1k without exhaust (manifold back), but once I put it back on it struggles.

Oh, and I've either got 2 defective AFMs or its not the problem.

Thanks again!
