to check if you have an LSD differential check for an LSD tag on the drain plug (unless someone removed it).
About the power tolerance, the Diff. should not be the main concern, the Tranny is.
in Most cases, the tranny will go before the diff does. I heard the N/As cant handle more than 230RWHP on the stock trany. The diff. should not matter.
About changing the fluid, I recomend changing it and putting some redline Synthetic Diff oil. you shouldnt have to change it after that. also th redline Tranny fluid is also great.
But its not necesary to change it.

Well that coo cuz i have the TII tranny How much hp can the TII tranny support? My friend wants to get a N/A rx and is it possible to put a TII tranny in his rex? Will the Tranny mounts line up?

As far as I know a TII tranny should bolt up to a NA engine, but the flywheel and starter are different. So you would need to get a TII flywheel and starter, and I think they should bolt up to the NA engine.

Ok, the thing w/ the T2 tranny onto the NA motor...is that, yes, you will need a complete T2 driveline w/ flywheel;clutch;counterweight; and it doesn't hurt to have the right tools, lol. The T2 will bolt up to an NA motor, as long as they are the same half year...like the 86 Na will hook up to an 88 T2, but an 88 T2 will not hook up to a 91 NA. The parts are all interchangeable on all rexs, its just that the 86to88 NAs and T2s are easier to connect to each other, and the 89to91 NAs and T2s are easier to hook to each other. Anyways...I have a buddy who is hooking the TII tranny to his NA(he's running NOS)...so I'll let ya know what kind of problems he runs into if any. Also, the TII tranny can handle more power then most of us will get to...I think that if you are gonna go over 450, you may want a custom built tranny...or use a modified 3rd gen tranny....
