ok, heres the deal, yesterday, i cranked my motor over to warm the car up before going to work, it started up and then died! so i went to start it again, and the battery died. so i charged it up with the charger and that was gay, it died while cranking so i had to fiddle with the connection and such. eventualy i said **** it and threw the jumper cables on from the Durango and cranked it over. it cranked pretty fast! as in there was no compression!! but i couldnt futs with it cause i had to go to work. so today i went and tryed starting it (had the batterie charger on it sence 4 yesterday!) and it cranked fast again and i heard a scraping noise form the engine as it cranked! this time i didnt get anything out of it, yesterday i at least got a couple sputters here and there, but today nothing!!!

so, does this mean i blew a seal or something?? i take it the scraping would be the remainds of an apex seal, byt i guess i would like a second opinion!

I'm not sure exactly what kinda "scrape" you mean, lets hope its nothing bad.

What i'd do as a premilary check is just take a leading plug out of each rotor, one at a time, crank over and listen for 3 compression chugs.

Try to unflood it. A badly flooded rotary sounds like its turning freely "no compression" on startup.

once you cant start the car and keep trying to start it, you flood it

unless of course you are getting no fuel to begin with

sometimes these cars get a no start out of no where, they crank like they have no compression

That's never happened to me, between +35C and -20C, never happened between any of my RX7s. Not once, for any unfesable reason.

I had an engine crank like it had no compression once, that was because it was sitting for a year not-running in storage. After a minute of cranking the compression was back up and it was firing.

my car has also done this i attribute this to the shitty *** charging system, the battery some times almost never holds a full charge so it can't crank fast enough so it floods
