How can I tell if I still have the original engine in my car? I was told it was a j-spec when I bought the car, but since I know better now, I know that was a lie. I am thinking I have an engine with 120K on it instead.



I already have the water pump and alternator off, so getting the code will be easy...I just need to know what to do with it.

 

I never knew that there was a matching serial number on the engine.

 

I was told that the number on the front cover could be used to find what car the engine came from.

 

I can look at some motors later today to see if there's anything.

 

The number is right on the front cover...I'm just not sure how to tell what car it came from.

 

I can check mine tomorrow to see if there's anything that looks like it matches.

 

we cant rem what went where 1 housing came from ebay. dont worry about it.

 

u can buy a stamp kit and mark it yourself w be only way to id engine.
