took the car out on the highway to show my friend what its got..its acting up a litttle.

i stopped at a light after exiting the highway..the car died and wouldn't start back up. i figured it flooded.(which it usually never does)so i pulled the egi fuse out and ran it then plugged it in and it started. SOO the rpm gauge bobbled and went up after it started but then it just stopped moving and went down, the car still ran perfectly fine though. i heard a constant 2 BEEPS right when i started driving, it went off when i was finished driving though. the gauge will at first work when i start the car but then will stop after the car starts, so the rpm gauge isn't working. im also getting this constant 2 beeps when i drive, but when i stop it stops beeping. what is this? i replaced the egi fuse with a new one to think thats the problem, and its not. the car is now starting fine but still getting the same problem with the beeping and the gauge not working, car runs and drives fine. im letting it sit in my garage tonite to let the baby rest hoping that'll do it somewhat..any ideas please let me know! thanks

are any of your warning lights lighting up in your idiot cluster? and all of your four little gauges (fuel, water, oil, and volts) are working right? if all those arent working check your meter fuse. when you say it was acting up... was this when you were driving it hard when you were showing your freind what it could do... what did it do? as far as buck, stumble, feel sluggish, ect.... did it cut off at the light right when the car came to a stop or did it run at the stop for a few seconds and then just die or stumble out and die...

.......

not the collant level. its not that kind of beeping going off. that wouldn't stop my rpm gauge from working either.

If your car shuts down it would stop it from going. You may have some ungrounded wires, or your battery might be bad. Check your battery connection and makes sure everything is in tact and no broken wires.

my friend gets the same problem when id do the egi trick for him after he flooded it, the tach would just stop working.

is your Oil pressur egauge not working? cause his tach and OP Gauge both stopped worked, found the OPS wire fell off, connected it and both the tach and the OP Gauge worked again. i dont know why the tach would stop working but it did.
