Well they are finally finished. They are going to be a bit different than what is shown, but basically it will be the same overall so I wanted to show you guys how they came out. The hood scoop that I highlighted in the last picture shows the imprint of the hood scoop that is molded into the hood. That hood scoop will be blacked out with black gel coat in the mold so that it looks better. The CF didn't lay right because of the angles being to tall and the cuts in the CF to lay just didn't work out and there were some wrinkles and so forth. They will still be CF and they will still look sweet though



For those of you wondering about the 0007 serial numbered hood for both the N/A and the TII hoods will be auctioned on eBay. No you can't buy them I have received over 45 requests for that number, so you can see my point. I want everyone to have fair shot at them. Anyway, the TII hoods are done If you have ordered one already, they are being made as we type and they will be shipped out on a first that paid basis. I'll have the weight out tomorrow We were to excited to get it on and take pictures that we forgot to weight it while we had it off the car LOL It is very light though. There isn't any weird bowing at freeway speeds (110mph+) so I am happy with the thickness of the CF backing and the overall framing.

any update on the weight? if it's heavier than the aluminum theres no point in buying it

If any of you buy the hood without knowing what it weighs I will have to shoot you.

Stock Steel N/A hood - 53 lbs

Stock TII Aluminum hood - 36.50 lbs

Carbon Fiber TII hood - 23 lbs

 

13 lb difference. good deal

 

replace the stock battery with a odyssey 'drycell' sealed and you've saved more than that for a shitload less money.



get the Al hood if you don't already have it, and do the battery conversion and you're still way ahead, and you still don't look like a rice boy woohoo!
