Unhappy

Hey a while ago i posted up on how my car was acting funny. Eratic idle, radio flickers on and off while the car is off. How car sometimes just dies on me and takes a while before i can start it up.

Well last week the battery voltage was 14 volts, and this week it was 12. I get out of werk and the batter voltage is low but the car starts with no probs or hestitation. So i get home and i give her the best cleaning i have ever given her. Vacuum, frebreezed the interior used turtle wax rug cleaner, armoralled the interior, washed , cleaned the moldings the rims etc. ANd i go to start the car and its dead. It just click clicks clicks but nuffin. The batter voltage is now 8.

Is it the battery thats it just bad. if so why would it be 14 volts last week and now its 8??

Is it the alternator???

I think its some electrical part of the car that is suckikng the energy from the battery and i think the radio is the cultrprit. Just b4 the car died it was flickering on and off. Can the radio drain the battery that quick even though the car is runnning?

Your help will be widely appreciated ASAP. If its the battery im going to get the Optima battery from my job. If its the alternator i guess the car will be out of service for quite sometime.

Have your work test your alternator.

you killed the battery having the doors open, did you also have

the radio on?

A alternator is about the same cost as a optima battery is it not?

So what he said and have them test your alternator.

Make sure the terminals are clean and tight on the battery, start

the car and remove the positive battery cable from the battery and see

if the car stays running or not.

God man. Doors closed. Lights off. Keys in my pocket. Radio flicker like if the key was on. Go to sleep wake up. Car is dead no reason found on inspection. Educated guess. Electrical system drainded batter power during the wee hours of the morining. This time i drove to werk car was fine. Drove to lunch and i had 12 volts. Left to go home car had 12 volts. Parked it in the back yard cleaned the car and evthing 12 volts. finished wasgetting ready to park it and car has 8 volts and wont start.

Is your stereo rigged up? Loose connections, or a crappy install might be causing your problems.
