I drive a S4 with S/P motor, fuel upgrades(FCON), full exhaust and intake. I want to send my turbo off to get a BNR up grade im thinking a stage 3. does any one have any experience with this? What all should I have done to it I know that there are a few options. Any problems I will run into? just any info would be appreciated pros, cons good or bad experiences. THanks

Personally I wouldnt get the 87-88 turbo upgraded as its wastegate would require a lot of modification to flow well enough for a hybrid.

You should be able to pick up an 89-91 turbo and manifold that needs rebuilding for $100-$200.

Yes, by all means score a kouki manifold and turbo. I picked up a spare turbo just to do this. The Stage 2 I have from BNR is practically a Stage 3. Anyway, I was able to put down some healthy numbers when I went to the dyno.

What if I did it to a S4 and just ported the **** out of the wastegate and welded a new flapper door on?? Also why is stage 2 and 3 the same price? When I talk to the guy at RX7store or what ever he sounds like he dosent know **** about them. Just tells me to send in the turbo with a sheet of paper of what I want but its hard to figure out what I want when no one can answer questions! Is there a phone # I can call to get ahold of the gu that actually does this so I can get a little help and figure out a price???

umm, I would strongly suggest going directly through BNR if possible. Even if RX-7store.net wasnt shady its a good idea to cut out the middle man.
