Bigger Injectors?????
Ok I am in the process of finishing up my swap from N/A to TII, I went with alot of aftermarket stuff so now im wondering when I take it in to my mechanic to have it wired up if I should have him install bigger injectors while hes in there?? and if I should what size?? I did the turbo swap the right way so EVERY thing is TII..drive line, tranny the whole 9 yards. Here are the mods to my car that will be or are installed:
no airpump
3" downpipe
3" mid pipe
3" single side catback
BOV
Aluminum TID
HKS cone filter
16" electric fan
Knightsport FCD
Profec A boost controler
HKS F-CON
I think thats all that would really matter. I am also thinking about ditching the TII fuel pump for a walbro. oh the car is a series4 So what does every one here suggest????? please help! Ive spent so much time on this thing I dont want it to blow up on me!! WIll my F-con work with bigger injectors?

Well my first question is do you have a stock turbo? How much boost do you plan on running? If you have a larger turbo and/or want to push more than 10psi then I suggest you go with larger secondary injectors. Does your HKS F-CON have an aftermarket wiring harness or are using the stock harness from the TII? If you have an aftermarket harness then I would say go with 1600cc secondaries. If you still have the stock TII harness then the only aftermarket injectors I've heard that fit it are 720cc secondaries. If you go with the 1600cc ones then you'll have to get a fuel rail to go with them too. You must keep in mind that the 720's aren't going to flow as much fuel as the 1600's. Less fuel = less boost = less horsepower. It all depends on what you want out of your car.

Well I have the stock turbo, stock wire harness. I just want to get it safely on the road with out running to lean or overboosting. im afraid that with the open exhaust and intake that boost will go to high, high boost with small injectors would make it run lean no? I am going to port my waste gate and that should help but lets say I put the car together and it runs 12psi but I dont want it to go past 10psi is there any way to do this? I have been told that a boost controler is only good for upping boost not lowering it is this true? Please bear with me this is my first turbo RX7 and im just trying not to make any costly mistakes.

Better safe than sorry, Just have your mechanic wired up some different connections or modify the injectors to make them work. You should get bigger injectors, after all that money spent you would have to be nutz not to. K2rd sells rails for $100-150, I got 1600cc secondaries for 100 a pop. but then again i don't know much about the F-con, somelse will chime in with some experience and let you know what to do.
