I think I'm gonna add an MSD. Which model is best for rotary? Do I need a special model or will a 6AL work?

Thanks!

Maybe people have told you already but the stockers are plenty powerful for your application. Solid grounds help a lot for the power of the spark and I was even thinking of sending new power wires to mine.

If you're bent on getting an MSD CDI box, you might want to look into the 6BTM... it has a built in adjustable timing retard unit for when you turn the boost up... not sure how it would hook up to a rotary though

100% WASTE OF MONEY, PLUS YOU NEED AT LEAST 2 BOXES MAYBE 3 TO RUN IT PROPERLY . TRAILING AND LEADING. THE STOCK IGNITION IS PLENT POWERFUL. I HEARD THAT JACOBS SYTEMS ARE BETTER FOR WHAT ITS WORTH FOR ROTARTY ENGINES. I WOULD NOT EVEN BOTHER. BUY A GOOD MOD.

now I just hear this as roumor, so I can't verify it at all.

I read somewhere that putting a 6al on one of the coils would fire it twice per exposer (because the front and rear rotors fire at different times) and that would cause a more complete combustion of the a/f mixture left in the corner of the housing by the trailing apex seal. This was causing the emissions of the cars to go down.

Maybe this was only true on GSL-SE's, but it might work. Anyone heard of this?

Also the electronic rev limiter is GREAT, much better then a fuel cut.

appearentley we have people who like to just guess if it will work just using one box. but for the people who have actually installed a MSD 6 AL box and does no differnece from the stock ignitors. I'm telling you you would have to run 2-3 boxes for it to be functional. You just can't run 1 box for the leading and forget about he trailing
