GOD DAMMIT, a truck backed into my car, then drove away. THAT ****!.

argh, guys please share in my sorrow as my left fender is destroyed. it has a huge gash in it, and obviously a lot of scratches. =(((((((((((

I JUST GOT MY REX!!~~!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

AND I GOT IT INSURED AND REGISTED YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!! YESTERDAY!!!!!~!~ YOU BELIEVE THAT!~!~!

I HATE THIS WORLd, I HATE BAD FUXING DRIVERS!

btw my car was parked, infront of the store i was at...

anyways, here is the questions part: how much to replace a fender? like how many hours would it take a mechanic, my guy works at 45 bux an hour =(. and how much would a new fender cost. im planning to repaint the whole car soon anyways, so i guess color isnt too important.

thanks in advance.

Happen to me to, 2 weeks ago. it stinks. big ford f150, on top of my car. the hood, right head light, and fender got mangled. so sad. but he had insurance, so it should get fixed, maybe with a new front bumper, fresh air head light. that would me nice.

If you want fenders then I suggest Victoria British

They have body panels for a decent price

Sorry to hear about the loss man.

I don't know about the fender's price but it's easy to replace if nothing else is twisted or bend. I have changed one on my rex once. The only thing that takes more time is to remove the nose, the rest is easy if the bolt threads are not too rusty. :frown:

Why don't you just go to a salvage yard and pick one up. Preferably a U Pull it. The benefit is you get it off yourself and have the experience of doing it yourself before you even start on the job on your car. Best job is one you've done yourself and you save yourself money.

In the alternative, buy one from a yard and deliver it to your mechanic. If color doesn't matter, this is the cheapest way.

If you do it yourself, you will need a long extension for the screw that is up near the door. Its hidden on the inside, so you have to have all the other screws loose to get at the mentioned one.

You'll need a ratchet, a 10 mm socket, and some extensions. You're better off just bringing a whole socket set, just in case alot of stuff is still on the car. Some screwdrivers would be a good idea as well.

A new fender is usually about $300, but you can get aftermarket fenders closer to the $100-150 range, sometimes cheaper.

Mariahmotorsports has some fenders that are just slightly wider than stock so you can run the same width tires in front as in back or something to that effect. They were about 270 a piece, not bad I thought.

Sorry, I fixed your link so it would go to the fenders
