My brother and I made this heat shield to try and keep the hot engine air away from my intake. The filter is from ebay so the hose goes through the front of it to the air pump, that way the car doesnt run rich. But anyways, I think it looks good and will work well.

I have one high flow cat, but not the stock two. My intake didn't really change the way my car sounded at all. But i guess i feel a little more kick. It looks nice.

One thing, I dont know why you have that long tube going all the way into ur filter, just buy one of those mini breather filters from auto zone or pep boys. Also I dont know if that heat shield will help all that much, whats it made of.

amen, they cost like 5 bucks

also, that shield is so small that i wouldnt expect it to do that job very effectively.

That hose is connected to my air pump. I had to put into the setup before the throttle body. So the filter was the only option with that filter. I bought it from ebay so i just modified it and made it work. The deflector is made from sheet metal. it also holds up my filter so it wont bouch around. I like it and it works good enough.

I might add some more metal around the radiator hose to help with that heat.

im not quite understanding but what were saying is that you can buy a small filter at the parts store, cut that air pump hose down, and stick the small filter on the air pump hose. that way you can take the hose out of your filter.

what happened to the stock intake part that sits on top of the radiator? if that was still there it would probably help get a lot more air to the filter. it definitely wouldnt hurt
