I've had a bonez intake (rip off) for about a year now, the way the kit comes with the bracket makes the AFM turn on it's side for the mount (flapper door hangs vertical)

The standard mount (stock) has the door turning open and closed like a real door (horizontal)

Does it matter which way it's mounted? I am getting some hesitation problems (besides the 3800 hes. which i can't get rid of)

THanks for the input

I would think taht would be bad. Gravity would be holding the door open more than it should be, which would make the computer think more air was going into the engine, so on and so forth..

Level as in, Flapper door opens like a regular door (my house front door)...(Car door)

Instead of opening and closing ... (Like a hood)?

THanks

try getting it close to the same position it was stock. Just use some cheap metal to bracket it to something. Then you can see if it makes a difference or not.
