Very strange situation, 86 Rx-7 has been sitting for about a year, I tried and tried to start it and when I couldn't get it going I figured I flooded it, so I took the necissary steps AND changed the plugs and wires, it started, but then when I turned it off, it wouldn't fire back up, and I noticed a nice leak coming from under the car, it was actually coming from the gasket between the 1st and 2nd cat convertor, I noticing a gas smell and cought some of the liquid in a can, and took it a safe distance from the car and checked it to see if it was flamable, it lit for an instant, but then wouldnt relight, so if it was gas, it was mixed with water, or something......someome please HELP!!!please tell me what liquid this is and why it would be leaking from this particular spot.... oh, and yes, I had the car jacked up to get a good look at where it was coming from. Thanks...

It might be water from moisture build up over that time period.Did you have fuel stabilizer in it?the Fuel might be bad and not strong enough to run it anymore. You might have to drain the tank and refill it with fresh gas.

condensation builds up in the exhaust so maybe its just water?
