I need to borrow or buy a 54mm or 2 1/8" socket to remove the flywheel nut.

Anyone in the North Jersey area have one to sell or loan?

if you can lug you motor down to oakland nj (right down 208 from you, maybe 10-15 minutes) i can hit it with an air gun and my socket and have it off for you in a second.

If you're one of those cheap *******, go buy the 2-1/8" socket from Sears...

Use it, and then return it - tell them it's the wrong size.

Side note, the Craftsman 2-1/8" socket is designed to use a 3/4" drive, so if you don't have 3/4" drive tools, you need an adapter.

You could always try asking your local Mazda dealer if you could borrow their flywheel nut breaker bar for a half hour or so. I dunno, it worked for me once.

That's ok-Teknics gave me the hookup and hit it with the impact wrench.

But it took a little longer than he said--took about a second and a half ;-).
