3rd gen 13b into 2nd gen rx7
#1
ok i know this has probably been asked a million times but what is involved in a 13b engine from a 93-up rx7 into a 90-92 rx7na. Havin trouble findin front clips of rx-7's or should i just go with an engine package. how much is the swap gonna run if i do the work myself. Do i need anythin else besides the engine?? Can i use the 2nd gen tranny. Also if i manage to get the swap completed how much boost can a stock 13b engine take and how much power would it put down. Basically im a drift-aholic and lookin for sumpin to get me sideways but that can also hold its own in the 1/4. Aimin for 13 flat or mid 12's. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

have you looked for a TII??? they have better everything from the factory. LSD, suspension, tranny, engine + turbo, intercooler, 16x7 rims, yadda yadda. just a thought its actually cheaper in the long run to buy a TII.....

ya that was my first idea but i was readin that the power band flattens through 3000-4500 rpm then goes up again. Plus the power is greater on the newer 13b's, but info on the tII swap or the 93and up 13b is appreciatted, i also need all that info in the first post i made.

a few people just recently asked about this. to do the swap's correctly you need alot of time, money, parts and fabricating skills. a 89-91 13BT can have nearly as much power a 93-95 13B-REW...... they aren't THAT much different..... i picked up a 89 TII for $500 just gotta keep your eyes open. you will be so much happier with a TII to start with .....

damn didnt know u had to fabricate **** on the newer 13b and u can get motors for that cheap, damn im goin for th tII. But dude like i said before i reeeeaaallllyyyy need to know what kinda times i can expect from the tII. and all that other good stuff. Also what usually needs to be replaced on those motors when u get them. Seals, do i need to do a porting job done, clutch, etc.??
