Hello

I'm the new guy, charlie murphy. My 88 rx7 has 56k original miles. The headrest speakers worked until 2 wthanks

eeks ago. When i push the power button i head a static click from the headrest speakers and then nothing. I checked the fuses and the connection on the floor behind the drivers seat, everything seems ok. I removed the switch box from the console, it looked ok but I did not take it apart. I know you have to keep pushing the switch to increase the volume but it doesn't increase in either speaker. CAN ANYBODY HELP? i ALSO HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM: wHEN I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT, MY HORN SOUNDS (not all the time). Any suggestions here? Thanks, hope to hear from someone

Cant help much with the vert specific headrest speakers, but it sounds like the amp is shot.

The horn, take the steering wheel apart to see if you have a coin or loose piece of metal stuck in there that may be sliding into the contacts..

I found those headrest speakers just about useless, honestly I would not put much thought into them.

I believe the headrest amp is in the driver's side of the area under the package tray, it is bolted to the vertical piece that would be behind your seat

I like my vert headrest speakers, but I think the previous owner had everything rewired, because the volume changed with all the speakers, the individual headrest volume switch does nothing. I still like having them, though, especially on freeways with the top down.
