first a little background info:

1989 convertible, fresh from paint shop, stripped of all...I mean all parts , a rolling chassis if you will. (pics will be here soon)

Engine: N/A 13B stage II street port, 3mm seals, lightweight rotors, balanced (beyond factory tolerances) ceramic seals throughout, hardened gears, turbo oil pump, windage tray, oil and coolant system mods, port matched intake on and on...

anyway I believe my options to be wide open in the way of accentuating the "laid back in the seat factor" when I step on the pedal. I've weighed the pros and cons of turbo, supercharger, nos etc. and cant seem to make a decision on which would be best, so let me have it, what would y'all do

supercharger is good but very tricky to make it work correctly. turbo is alot easier since you can use alot of the factory components to do this. you will however need a stand alone engine management. be prepared for lots of work

stay away from NOS #1

I would get a S/C to be a bit different.

With the motor setup you already have, you running close to that 200HP mark...which is good, but you have a vert, which is heavy...sooo you do need more power. Supercharger kits do not exist any longer for our cars, if you try to contact Camden or Paxton, you'll find out that they do not make supercharger kits any longer(bastards!)...so your left with either turbo or NOS. Personally, turbo would be the better option...more power, but you built the motor on an NA basis so a turbo may cause to much damage too soon, so that leaves you with NOS. You have ceramic seals(3mm) which can easily accept a 75 shot from a wet system...don't go crazy w/ it though...only spray when you really want to. I'm not a big fan of NOS, but its your cheapest bet for more power...if you want to spend a little extra time & $$$ go turbo. You can use a factory turbo, manifold, etc. You'll need to upgrade your fuel system and get an IC(optional)...w/ about 5psi to 6psi, your looking close to the 300HP mark due to your higher compression.

ok sell the na engine find a used turbo one and rebuild it. then you will need the trans and the drive shaft and wiring and rear end and pretty much everything that the car needs to move.

thats a nice n/a setup. Custom turbo setpu would be nice w/ the high compression.

Camden superchargers is owned by Atkins, and as far as I know they are still in busness. Isamu was down there (Atkins) not too long ago, and said he saw some of their SCs.

Nice setup. With all the money you've already spent on that NA engine. I'd be looking into a turbo, that you can run 4-5 psi and an EMS. I don't think you want to start over with stock turbo engine...

turbo oil pump?? I didn't really know there was any difference.

yeah, the impeller width on a turbo oil pump is larger than one for an N/A, at least thats what i was told, although Ive physically held both pumps and the difference is more than noticeable
