im confused on a few of the abbrieviations on this site

for example fd and fc etc. im new to the whole rotary thing could sum1 please help me out

81-85 usa rx7 = fb

86-91 rx7 =fc

93-03 rx7 = fd

 

so an fb is a first gen

a fc is a 2nd gen

and fc is 3rd gen

fd is a third gen... s4 and s5 are the 2 different second gen's series 4 being 86-88 they had black side mouldings and ugly tail lights (sorry to those who like them haha) and series 5's were 89-91 (92 they sold the left over stock of 91's)

Almost but wrong. FD production ceased in Aug-02 & sales started in Jan-92.
