Renesis 20b in an rx8
I am going on deployment soon and owe 6k left on my 8. I plan to pay off the rx8 while gone and i should also accumulate an estimated 14k on top of that. I am going to get another daily driver and use the rx8 as my project. I have thought of a couple of possibilities to do here. One being an ls1 swap with a t56 trans. Something a little more familiar to me. But ive also gained quite a bit of knowledge on rotaries and am debating a 20b build. I was thinking renesis 20b build where i recycle the housings and side plates and buy the extra parts I need to complete the build including the 20b eshaft. I plan to keep the engine naturally aspirated and to also do a street port on the side housings. What problems can I expect to come across with this build and dropping it into an rx8? I know a renesis 3 rotor has been done in england but the forum i found it in was dead years ago. I was thinking the engine should to mount right up to the stock engine mounts and i would have to do a fab to support the unsupported section of engine, and figure something out with how I will fit a trans in there. Probably a t56 because i doubt the stock rx8 trans will handle the torque. Am I over my head here? Should I just scrap the idea of a 20b renesis in my rx8 and go with a na 20b or an ls1 swap. Plus what kind of ecu would I need for a 20b in general? I aint afraid to admit i am new to rotaries, if someone who has done this kind of build would like to point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would recommend a ser 6 motor with single gt 35 turbo will give you a well balanced car with less fitment problems and use your rx8 gear box .Use a microtech computer and will get an easy 350hp at wheels on 15lb boost.
