I'm trying to decide whether to rebuild my 13b in my fd or go with a 20b. If I rebuild the 13b I'm going to buy the Mazdatrix F level rebuild which costs $7,030. I saw that I can buy a 20b reman. from Rotary Works for $3,000 +shipping. What do you guys think I should do? Just getting opinions here.

I was planning on buying a new clutch and ecu this summer anyways so that shouldn't be an issue. Does the Power fc work with a 20b? Is the Supra fuel pump big enough for the 20b? If not I also have a huge Bosch one, not sure what king though but it's about twice as big as the supra one.

Sorry about all the questions, but I don't know much about the 20b conversion. There'll be lots more questions ot follow, but I can't think of anything else right now. Thanks a ton.

if u really are planning on spending that much on the rebuild i commend u, 3000 is a good price but there is a substantial amount of work that has to go into the car before u can properly get the 20b in there. im not familiar with the parts u need but im pretty sure its going to be at least a few thousand more than your rebuild option.

although 3rotor is so much coola

What all do you need? I know a sub-frame is required. Who makes the best one? I've heard a lot about the pettit one, but couldn't find it on their site. I've heard I'll need a better clutch, but I was planning on buying the Centerforce dual plate clutch this summer anyways. Like I said before I've got a huge fuel pump so that shouldn't be a problem. So what else would I need. I've searched and haven't found anywhere that has an actual list of things I'd need except for alamorotary.com, and I read somewhere on this forum that there's a bunch of stuff in their conversion that you don't need, so I don't know what on there I do and what I don't. If someone could give me a link or a list or something that would be really helpfull. Thanks.

Also I wouldn't normally spen that much on a rebuild, but my was stolen before I bought it. and when I did get it, there was a ton of stuff wrong with it. I mean so many things were messed up, I'm surprised I was able to drive it home from the car lot. So I don't know what they did to the engine. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm not just some rich kid who wants to spend money. I just figure, this way either way I go, I'll KNOW the condition of the engine. Not to mention everything else that I'd have to replace.

Besides, what 19 year old kid in his right mind isn't constantly looking for a crack in the system that'll allow him to afford a 3 rotor?

okay, just got word that my egine's toast. get's zero compression. How much do you think it would cost to get a custom sub-frame made? Do tyou think that'd be a good idea, or should I just try to find one? I still haven't decided if I'm going to do this or not.

How hard can it be to butcher a 13b subframe to make it fit yourself?

the f level rebuild is a mostly new engine, a $3000rebuilt 20b is gonna be mostly used....

power fc doesnt work, the supra pump is prolly ok for a stock turbo 20b, but it will need something bigger if you turn the boost up. i'd skip the bosch they actually wear out

Check this website out.

It's for the fc but alot of the info pertains to both. Computer, intercooler, fuel system, exhaust, etc... There's also no 20b single turbine kits available. You'll have to have one custom made.

Bosch specializes in fuel products. Bosch pumps also come stock in Porsches and Saabs. I've never heard of bosch pumps wearing out. Do you have any proof of that?
