Well, it's October, and the RX7 is getting ready to hibernate. Saturday was a gorgeous day, so I decided to take the car out for one last photo shoot before winter comes.

Crappy quality, I know... I don't own a digital camera so they were taken using a disposable camera and then put on a photo disc (and then cropped).

I've been driving this car all week, I figure I'll put her away on the 20th, to emerge once spring hits full force! Hopefully by then with racing seats, wheels, slight sound system and new carpet.

nice pics! that car is nice enough that it could be really badass without a ton of work... it needs some wheels, stance, and a little bodywork.

Yeah, I know. The underside is clean too, as it was a texas car for most of it's life.

I'm focusing on the interior this year because... well, something lived in there at some point. Let it sit in the sun on a hot day, and you gotta air it out before you get it. It's a shame, because the carpet and seats are in excellent condition... they just reek.

Nice pics, I like the car.

as far as the smell, maybe if you yank the seats and carpet out and give them a good cleaning it will get better.

I'm just going to yank them and replace them. I want to color match my interior to my planned exterior paint job...

RX8 red mica (whatever it's called) on black.

its prolly moisture seeping in from the driver-side-rear wheelwell...but you did say it was a Texas car so its probably without the typical rustpot where the cubby holes would be.

No, it smells like old rat pee. I've owned lots of old (barn) cars before, I know the smell, I know how to fix it, and it involves re-interioring the vehicle. I think my door panels and headliner should be good though, I hope so because they are in really good shape.
