it depends on what you want and how much money you got as far as the rim size.

for ultimate handling and acceleration, a 13x7 with 245/50 R compound tires.....note pic

for untimate comfort, 13x5.5 with a good all season 70 series tire.

I personally would put yoko AVS Intermediates in 185/60 if keeping the stock rims, but hurry! www.tirerack.com is closing out at $58 a pop, a great deal.

If going aftermarket rim your best bet IMO is a 15inch, you can still find 15 inch fitments in used and new rims, and the tire offering is not %100 dried up. 205/50/15 Khumos seem popular, and well recieved, and are only $60 a piece.

NOTE: my tire choices are based on my area and the weather, I do not drive in the snow the 2 days a year it does snow here, so I do not need a all-season tread design, allowing me more performance from a sumer tire.

Thanks for the info. I live in VA so we get a little of everything as far weather. I have stock rims on it now with 185/70 13s , but I was thinking of upgrading to a better size if there was one. performance in mind with my decision. Also can I put a different size tire on the stock rim

yes, As I said I would run a 185/60/13 yokohama AVS i on the stock rim, I have run 205/60/13 in the past but connot find a tire I like in that size nowadays, if I had to I would try the sumitomo htr200.

Good Luck.

You didnt say what suspension you said You had...I have the 4x110 lug pattern...

Im doign a conversion over to the GSLE set up..and runnign 16s on it ..

I will be running 215/40/16 on 16x7...

That is good for street driving and crusing ..but for drag ..I will be going with some sort of 15 in tire..

I have second gen spare tire the 4 lug ones for ft runners..I need to buy tires for it though

Yoko AVS are great tires; I had them on my '90 and loved them.

When tirerack closes out will that be the end of the AVS intermediate? Also, I thought the AVS was available in 205/60X13????
