ok guys couple problems, one, something is binding up on my driveline when my car is sitting on the ground. if i try to start it i here a clicking sound from the starter like it isn't reaching the flywheel or something. two, my car won't start, everything seems to be working fine with the haltech, just installed a walbro fuel pump. it'll turn over when she is on jackstands and it'll fire if i spray a bit of starting fluid but she just comes down in revs and dies at around 1k rpm. i got nuthin fellas, any ideas much appreciated.

Check your postitives and negatives for your starter problem first.I have that same problem but I think my + wire is shot.I plan to replace it tommorow.Check your timing too while you at it to make sure shes good.

the timing is spot on, i've zeroed it and everytime i check it its always zeroed. i'll check the starter wires as well but if the wires were switched or bad wouldn't the starter not work at all instead of just when the car was on the ground?

it might be the starter too.

if it starts when you spray fluid in there goto the primer map, hit home and raise it a little, the primer map is like how much you pump the gas before you start the car if it was carbed

Did you use the original holes in a 12a front engine mount to mount your 13b motor to the motor mounts? If you did, there is your binding problem when you let the car off the jack stands.

just a thought.

Why would that bind?Thats how you mount a 13BT in a FB.UNLESS he did like I did and forgot to put a O-ring inside before he put the front cover on.

Iotus pointed it out to me one night one MSN.Theres a O-ring passage on the drivers side of the engine that needs a O-ring installed there or else you won't get any oil pressure in your motor.I need to take my front cover off and install it still.

o, i put an o-ring in there. i'm getting oil through my motor cuz i took off my oil filter like you guys suggested and oil came gushing out so i don't think thats a problem.

i just checked to see if the driveshaft would spin freely by hand when the car is on jackstands and it does, both forwards and reverse. i looked at the starter wires, the line coming from the battery is connected to the left stud and the other stud has a wire going into the starter. is this correct?
