I recently got an 85 gsl-se with 75K, all records from day one. The last 3K took 3 years though. The car starts hot or cold, runs great does not smoke beyond the initial start up. But the oil is getting diluted with gas. In 500 miles it has gained maybe a pint on the dipstick and the oil(20W50) just drips off the stick like water. I put a kill switch on the fuel pump to let pressure off the injectors when the engine is off, but that did not help. One guy says rebuild time, but I dont understand where the gas could be coming from. Plus here in western KY there are no shops that will touch a rotary, not even the mazda dealers. Has anyone been here before?

Mine has a similar problem though not as severe. It happens because of worn side seals and oil control rings. I don't see a drop in oil level at all even though I have an oil leak.

Yes, it is rebuild time. Right now, I just keep changing the oil every 800-1000 miles.

I'd say time to tear it down and rebuild it with some go in mind.Sounds like your seals are going due to lack of use and not storing it properly.
