There's several things you can do to get hp. First thing is headers. That's the easiest hp you can get. It replaces the heavy *** exhaust

manifold. You'll need to get a pre-silencer or have a pipe made to replace the thermal reactor and cats. The easiest way is go to Racing Beat and order the whole performance exhaust. You can get aftermarket carbs. Weber/Mikuni/Holley are adaptable for rotories. Having the engine ported will also get more hp.

Before I switched to a Turbo, I had a rather large street port w/Weber 48IDA, headers with a full dual exhaust and a bunch of other stuff. It was pretty fast. Never had it dyno'd, but was told it had around 200hp. I don't know for sure.

Well, there are alot of options really. You could port the motor, or go turbo. With the stock 12a if you put on the Racing Beat Streeport Exhaust, and a Weber IDA 48 with manifold and upgraded fuel system, you should be good for around 150hp. Seeing as how stock is 101HP thats rather nice.

You can then go streetport and make between 180 & 220Hp. Pineaplple racing in POrtland Or said he can build be a 220 horse Streetport for around $3500. also has a 3yr/36,000 mile warenty.
