It's been too long for me since I put a TII in the Porsche to remember. But check the Factory Service Manual available in PDF on this site. I went by the pin numbers and not the color of the wire. You really only need to hook up a few wires to make it run. 12v switched, ground, and a couple others I can't remember.

Again, with the help of the FSM and carefully counting which pin, it was fairly easy.

On a '89 Turbo ECU

1A is 12 volt continuous

1B 12 volt switched

The whole schematic is on page F 2-8 of the Factory Service Manual. The manual is available in PDF on this site. Download the manual, print F 2-8, study it and it will all become rather obvious. It explains all 64 pins in the ECU.
