Looking at a set of rear fenders used online that need some work but I will probably fix them and turn my 83 into a widebody daily driver.I was wondering if the rear fenders need splash guards like the fronts do or do you run them without inner splash guards? Also can you run the stock front bumper and run a aftermarket lower spoiler?I was pricing the fronts at $219 a piece. Definately a winter project next winter.Or put them on my T2 project car.Which ever.

Thanks

Well there are couple of widebody kit that were raced in FB's back in 80's. THere is the one like mine. The other one has the tape-deck opening in the front and the rear fenders extend to the doors as well.

This one is similar to mine IMSA GTU, except the SA22C bumper:

This one is the other guy where the rear fenders extend to the doors IMSA GTO:

Anything else is pretty much mismatch of both of these or custom made.

The only pic I have is a small one and you can't see them very clearly. We are working a way to get the money exchanged for these fenders and ship them here. Thanks for the help bcrx7, I will get some pics up in this thread once we settle the deal and they get here. Then you might be able to give me a better idea of which kit these are off of.I think I will have to run mode 1 front fenders either way tho seeing as they are the only thing that looks close to these rears.I see my NA Fb getting very wide this next winter. Gotta keep the mild kit on my faster of the two.

Yup, those are the GTO, the wider body kit. For it to look good, you will need the door pieces and the proper front fender. They are pretty wide and will be hard to make them streetable.

Damn, I guess I have more pieces than just the front fenders to price out then.Do you think those rears could be redone to work with mode one front fenders?Might look cool with wider rears and wide fronts.
